Associate

Dr. Morsi is an associate consultant with I Tech D&M. Dr. Morsi obtained his PhD in 1996 from the Dept. of Materials, University of Oxford, UK, in the processing and mechanical properties of particle-reinforced ceramics. Following his PhD, he studied reactive processing of intermetallic Materials as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the Dept. of Materials, Imperial College, UK. He Joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Missouri-Columbia in October 1999 as an Assistant Professor. His research there focused on the Reactive processing of Intermetallics and Intermetallic matrix composites and development of grain-size functionally gradient nanoceramics for biomedical applications. Dr. Morsi is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, San Diego State University (since July 2003). His current research area is in Materials Science and in specific, processing, microstructure and properties of metals, intermetallics, ceramics and their composites, powder metallurgy, Nanomaterials and processing of highly porous materials. He has published numerous journal articles in the area of materials processing and powder metallurgy.
